FAMILY PLANNING CLINICS

There are several family planning clinics run by local Primary Care Trusts and NHS Trusts. They offer cofidential sexual health advice as well as family planning services. Click here to find out more about what family planning services offer explained by the Family Planning Association.

You do not need to see your GP first to be referred. All the clinics will see anyone but they do prefer you to make an appointment rather than drop in unexpectedly. The simplest way to make an appointment is to phone one of the the numbers below.

If you require emerency contraception we will always offer an appointment with a doctor or a practice nurse on the same day that you contact us (apart from weekends and bank holidays when the surgery is closed. Then it is best to contact the Out of Hours service on 015242 61202 rather than wait until the surgery is open again.) Requests for emergency contraception are treated sympathetically and confidentially.
