MAINTAINING YOUR SEXUAL HEALTH

If you are worried that you might have a sexually transmitted infection there are several things you can do. Firstly there is very good information and advice available on the web from the Family Planning Association. You can come and discuss your worries with a GP or practice nurse at the practice or if you prefer, you can attend any one of the are six genito-urinary medicine (or GUM) clinics in the local area. They provice confidential testing, advice and treatment for a range of illnesses that include all sexually-transmitted diseases.

You do not need to see your GP first to be referred to a GUM clinic. All the clinics will see anyone directly but they do prefer you to make an appointment rather than drop in unexpectedly. The simplest way to make an appointment is to phone one of the the numbers below.
