OBTAINING INVESTIGATION AND TEST RESULTS

We frequently perform blood test, ecgs (electrocardiographs) and x-rays as part of making a diagnosis or assessing the progress of a patient's condition. You can obtain the results by:

• Making an appointment to see the doctor or the nurse who arranged the test for face-to-face meeting or a telephone consulation.
• We may contact you when the result becomes available. Your doctor may write to you or ask a receptionist to phone you.
• If you have access to your medical records via MyPractice Online, you can look up test results there.

Our aim is to make sure that you get all the information about your tests as soon as possible and to ensure that there is no risk of the wrong person getting the results. This is why we sometimes prefer not to give out information over the telephone or by email.
