Patient Transport

We work with Age UK North Craven to provide a voluntary transport service for patients who have no other means of getting to the surgery in Bentham or Ingleton to see their doctor or nurse. Transport is provided by volunteers who use their own cars. They will pick you up from home and return you straight home after your appointment. All drivers sign a agreement to confirm that they respect the right of all patients to confidentiality.

To be eligible for the service you must be over 55 years of age.

Firstly you need to register with Age Uk by calling 01729 823066″

Please call Age UK on the number above if you are in need of transport.

It may take a few days to arrange for a driver so this service is not suitable for urgent appointments. Please let us know in good time.

The service is supported by Bentham Health Centre Extra Care Fund, but the charity cannot cover the whole cost so Age UK ask for a contribution.

The service is also available to take patients to appointments in hospital etc
